To those of you who are first time visitors- welcome! To those who have visited Current Beef before- welcome back! My name is Dina, the proud Editor-in-Beef of this site. This is where I give you the scoop on what is going on in world news, media, and issues.

Current Beef started as natural progression of my interest for worldly issues and writing, and my lack of things to do after I finished my B.A. in Political Science and Russian. Who would’ve ever thought that after four years of nothing but essays, a university student would miss papers?

In hoping to fill up my time, I began writing for “Beef of the Day” in September of 2011. Even though the blog grew quietly for a while, I loved it right away and was dedicated to making it into something. Throughout the first months of Beef’s existence, it changed a lot- you, my awesome readers and subscribers have seen this in action. Today, on March 19, 2012, you get to see the biggest change of all- the look!
